Favorite thrifted corner of our Apartment. What does “thrifting” really mean?

Hi everyone! Happy almost Thanksgiving πŸ™‚ I wanted to share a quick post today about my favorite corner of the apartment, all decorated by some beautiful pieces i have found through thrift shopping. Ever since i started my journey towards a more sustainable lifestyle, finding creative ways to reduce plastic waste and making attempts to reduce our carbon footprint in this beautiful world, i have found immense pleasure in “thrifting”. I often mention about it on Instagram but i have never really talked about it here. I love visiting Thrift stores these days as well as resale home stores to find one-of-kind treasures & vintage finds. I could honestly spend hours inside a thrift store just browsing through vintage…

Homesickness & beyond: Life in a foreign country.

I woke up early today feeling utterly anxious about a lot of different things. I happen to feel like that every now & then, specially when i have quite a few pending tasks but zero motivation to do anything. Since last few days i haven’t been able to sleep or focus on anything, haven’t been able to gather my thoughts either, something that i never had issues with. If there’s anything editorial about it, it is the creativity i put into…

Mix and matched an old cotton dress with a handloom cotton dupatta from Jaypore. Silver Earrings with intricate work: Shyle by Astha   Hi everyone! First of all, a little late but Happy 72 years of Independence to our beloved country and to one another. If i could describe the word “Independence” in my words, is to be able to live my life in my own way, on my own terms, without being burdened by any unjustified social norms or preconceived notions; slow and intentional, just the way i had always wished for. It’s a privilege to have a freedom of…

Habit shift: Switched to a Zero-waste Laundry Detergent & couldn’t be happier!

Hi everyone! I know this might seem a little crazy to some of you but before i start digging deep in this post about zero waste laundry detergent, i want you to know that yes i am really doing this! I have made a lot of changes and shifts in my lifestyle, my choices and i will continue to do so until i reach my goal. I am aware that i may never be able to achieve “zero waste” per se but there’s a still a lot to do when it comes to simply reducing plastic waste and sticking up with the goals. The month of July was very important for me in terms of getting closer to my…
