Ever heard about Gratitude journal? I do not have one either but i have certainly started making tiny efforts that has helped me be a little more happy each day and a little more thankful for each & every little thing that is around me right now. 🙂
Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. Gratitude journaling is keeping a journal for all the things we are grateful for right at this very moment in our lives. A great way that reminds us of all the good and positive things happening around us whenever we re-read them or need to re-assure that even if they are few things that are not working out for us right now, there is still a box full of hope and little bundles of joy around us that we need to focus on.
10 things I am grateful for right now in my life:
2. Flowers/ Meadow fields
3. My secret Garden
4. The fact that i am going to turn 30 soon (well almost a year left) and there’s so much to do.
5.”FRIENDS” on Netflix
6. Doing what i love.
8. Cotton dresses
9. To be able to adopt a healthy lifestyle (finally!)
10. Baked potato fries.
So grateful for this one right now since as we have a very short summer in this region, currently having a real nice weather, seriously! Only a few more months left to be able to enjoy easy-breezy summer outfits and taking long walks in the neighborhood. There are so many fun activities to do in summers like riding a bike, jumping into the pool, walking by the lake, playing a sport and so on. 🌻
FLOWERS/ MEADOW FIELDS:
I would rather wear flowers in my hair than diamonds around my neck.
I always and always want flowers in my life, they are those little things in life that give me immense pleasure and happiness. My last blog post was based on a similar topic on how such little things in life makes our days better & why we should be grateful for them always. If you didn’t get a chance to read, here it is: A WALK IN THE MEADOW FIELDS, ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE!
MY SECRET GARDEN:
Which is not a secret anymore i guess! 😃 So yes, i always wanted to be able to grow my own garden preferably a small one so i can nurture it closely. I call it a secret garden because it is tiny right now and it is located in the balcony of our apartment, a secret from the world and only i can enjoy it. 🌻
The fact that i am going to turn 30 soon (well almost a year left) and there’s so much to do.
This is definitely a big one! Turning 30 is a big deal and for me having this time to be able to pursue or get done with a few things i would like to do before i turn 30, is what i am grateful for! Most people do not even realize how and when time flies when they enter into a new phase of life but i am grateful to be able to realize and act upon it.
FRIENDS on NETFLIX
Yeah well our real friends and family are all quite far away from us, and this particular TV show has made up for all those times when we have missed them immensely. I do not even remember how many times we have watched it (it’s still playing in the background while i write this ). We watch this whenever we have had a bad day, or just tired or bored, or having no reason at all. I feel it’s the best thing that has happened in the world of TV shows that takes all the worries away for a while.
DOING WHAT I LOVE
I really wish that each & every person should be able to have the courage to do whatever they wish for and however they wish to live their lives without looking for approvals from others, because life happens only once and it is happening right now. We should all make it LARGE!
i have spent 6 years in this country and the one thing i really missed (amongst all the others) is a good mango (and another one of my fav fruit that is Litchi). I usually travel to India during Christmas holidays and miss enjoying mangoes during summers. But this year, we found a great variety of mangoes that come all the way from Mexico through fair trade business. They are quite different from the ones i have had before and are super delicious. So grateful to be able to enjoy my favorite fruit. 🍋
You know how much i love easy breezy cotton dresses and i am happy to be able to enjoy them at this particular time of the year. The weather is quite unpredictable here, i am sure winter will just arrive in a blink of an eye.
ADOPTING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
2017 was a rough year for me, career wise, and personally and physically too. I had put on a lot of weight due to different health issues. My thyroid was at a peak level, Vitamin D deficiency and i was diagnosed with PCOD (a very common problem amongst younger women these days). A lot was happening around me and inside me that it affected my body largely. I had a tough time, which took me quite a few months to get my body to normal (well its still not but working on it) but it definitely inspired me to adopt a better lifestyle in terms of regular exercise, eating healthy, cooking more and investing in organic foods.
BAKED POTATO FRIES
Who doesn’t love fries? It is one of the favorite type of food every single person enjoys thoroughly but super unhealthy at the same time. They are deep fried containing saturated fats, mostly junk for the body. I too love them and didn’t wanted to give up at all so i decided to make my own recipe as an alternative to these deep fried ones and i bake them ! Sharing the same with you guys 🙂 Do let me know your thoughts on it if you get a chance to try it!
