Hello you people, Ready to evoke your inner creativity with me? 😛 Scroll down then!
This post is another continuous effort of my journey to curate experimental contemporary looks and coming up with something new & fresh for my audience every time! Being able to create outfits or looks to produce something that is inspiring & one-of-its-kind is something I do with all my heart & soul. If you are following me from a long time, you must know that my goal as a “lifestyle blogger” (& not only a fashion blogger) is to involve myself in creative endeavors, & trying to amalgamate my cultural authenticity with my style & thoughts about the life i live here!
I have always explored different styles (and that’s the reason i decided to start my blog :P) but lately I’ve been somewhat too experimental with my personal style & the best part is I don’t regret a single one of them (YET! :D)
“Because I believe there are no guidelines when it comes to fashion & nobody has to fit in to the idea of what’s trending currently. It will always be about your personal choice, your vision, your taste & ability to mix things together to create something refreshingly new and different.” Who’s with me in this?
Creativity is something that comes from your within! Whether its your work, your hobby or anything you do in life; everything needs creativity to make the task more interesting than ever! And with creativity comes courage & commitment to be consistent with what you love to do.
If you are in blogging industry, its very seldom that you get a chance to work with a brand whose design philosophy blends in with your sense of fashion & personal style so effortlessly. But when i found Evoke by Suhita, i immediately bonded with her & her amazingly curated handmade vintage jewelry. Each individual piece reflects her unique artistic vision & experimental dreams. And after realizing how much my fashion philosophies match with her design beliefs, i couldn’t stop myself doing “another” experiment!
I said “another” because this has been my 2nd experiment with these amazing pieces! In case you missed the first one, here it is : EAST meets WEST.
My love towards exploring new styles is something that comes naturally to me & it is certainly not a conscious effort to ‘stand out’ but I want to challenge myself each time by bringing something new to the table. I wanted to build a look that precisely interprets the brands design aesthetics.
So the first look is very uncomplicated & unconventional. I have to (have to) create something that truly reflects my personality. I paired a crop top with a traditional cotton printed skirt from my Lehenga set i bought from India. Yes i have a 3-piece lehenga set but i couldn’t just wear it like that as the whole idea was to create something effortless & wearable by all! So why not pair it with a crop top? 😛
The earrings from her collection “Mayflower” is a curated collection of vintage, one-of-a-kind handcrafted pure silver and colored glass earrings. They matched perfectly with the colors of my outfit & the beautiful shades of the danglers on the side of my skirt , just adding the right bit of Indian-ness to it! (Just the way i like :P)
Although i believe in wearing and doing what makes me happy, sometimes its hard to keep up with it in this blogging game! Being aware of what’s trending & what’s new or being ready for seasonal clothing is important when it comes to connecting with the community. Talking about the second look, it’s more chic & trendy with an off-shoulder top and a silver choker with traditional intricate details, perfectly matching with these beautiful earrings. Since off-shoulder tops and chokers have been at a high peak in fashion industry this year, i decided to give them a try in a more fusion way (my way :P)
I truly hope you guys enjoyed the post and if it did evoke your passion or inner creativeness to do something you have been longing to do, then do share your story with me!
